Overview
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare measures all aspects of the patient experience. To ensure that we are holding ourselves to the highest standards, we partner with an independent patient satisfaction company, the National Research Corporation. For 35 years, NRC has helped over 50,000 hospitals and health systems grow and engage patient populations. This allows us to encourage a better patient experience and promote transparency throughout our organization and for the public.
Who Receives the Survey
Patients treated by Chesapeake Regional Healthcare and its affiliated services are randomly selected to provide feedback about their experience.
What Do We Do with Survey Responses?
All reviews are shared with relevant physicians and staff. Physicians have the ability to actively monitor their reviews as well. Ratings and comments are posted to our site for the benefit of patients and potential patients.
Are all Comments Posted?
We post both negative and positive comments and reviews. However, we actively monitor the review process and will not allow comments that are libelous, slanderous, profane, irrelevant or otherwise inappropriate. We also prohibit comments that may risk the privacy of patients.
Why Can’t I see Patient Ratings and Comments for Every Physician?
Currently, only physicians who are a part of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group have star ratings and comments posted on our website. Furthermore, there needs to be at least 30 reviews in the past year for a physician to have their reviews go live on our site.
Who can Complete a Survey or Post a Comment About a Physician?
Only patients who have visited a physician may be selected to receive the survey. This keeps our data fresh and ensures accuracy.
How is Patient Information Protected?
All surveys and comments are kept anonymous and patient names and other protected information is not posted on our website. All patient survey responses are kept on a secure internal server with limited access.
