The SCOPE Observational Program + -

Students and surgeon in operating room

Experience a Career in Healthcare

Student Clinical Observation and Professional Exploration (SCOPE) allows participants to observe Chesapeake Regional Healthcare professionals in the Operating Room.

Participation in the SCOPE program is an opportunity to:
•    Explore specific healthcare roles in a clinical environment
•    Gain understanding of interdisciplinary teamwork
•    Ask career-related discovery questions

The SCOPE program is a limited one/two-shift opportunity. Hands-on activities are not permitted, and some case types may be restricted at the Director’s or Operating Room Manager’s discretion.

If you are ill (with cold symptoms, fever, etc.) on the day of your observation, please email Sandy.Sherry@ChesapeakeRegional.com or contact your preceptor to let us know and reschedule for a later date. If you come to the observation with cold/flu-like symptoms, you will not be able to participate.
