Creating and Sustaining A Culture of Excellence
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is on a journey to attain Magnet designation. The process is thorough and lengthy, and it demands widespread participation throughout the organization. To create a culture of excellence, there will be self-assessment, opportunities for organizational advancement, team building and enhancing individual and professional self-esteem.
Developed by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC)- a division of the American Nurse Association (ANA)- the Magnet Recognition Program is considered the leading resource for identifying efficient and effective nursing practices.
The Magnet Recognition Program offers organizations like ours an opportunity for high nursing staff engagement and satisfaction. We want to create a framework for nursing excellence by encouraging and empowering nurses to create high levels of job satisfaction, benefiting the organization and delivering patient-centered care with excellent outcomes.
