Chesapeake Regional Healthcare offers state-of-the-art diagnostics to help you get answers.

Appointments are available in several locations on our campus, including Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, The Diagnostic Center of Chesapeake, the Sleep Center at Chesapeake Regional, and Diabetes & Nutrition Services at The Lifestyle Health & Fitness Center. Our friendly staff members can help direct you to the location that is most convenient for you and best suited to your testing needs. Your referring physician’s office can also help you to schedule a test at any of our convenient locations.

Do you have online scheduling? Yes, to schedule a test, you may call the Scheduling Department at 757-312-6137 or schedule here with a MyChart account.
 

How do I cancel or reschedule a testing appointment? To cancel a previously scheduled diagnostic test or to ask about our cancellation policy, call 757-312-6137.

Do you offer walk-in testing? Appointments are available for most diagnostic services. X-rays are available for walk-in patients with a provider’s order at the Diagnostic Center of Chesapeake on the first floor of Chesapeake Regional's W. Stanley Jennings Outpatient Center. Walk-in laboratory services with and without a physician’s order are also available. More information is available here.

How will I receive my results? Your diagnostic testing results will be posted in the MyChart patient portal. Your provider’s office may also call you with results. Contact your provider’s office with questions about testing and results.

How long will it take to receive my results? We work closely with your doctor to provide timely, accurate, detailed results. For more information about turnaround times for your individual test, contact your ordering provider.

How do I prepare for my test? When you call to arrange testing, the Scheduling Department will prepare you with everything you need to know. If you have specific questions about your test preparation, contact the Scheduling Department at 757-312-6137.

What should I bring to my appointment? Be sure to bring your ID and insurance card, as well as the order from your provider and any Worker’s Compensation paperwork or information. Some tests have specific preparation requirements; be sure to adhere to these so your test will be accurate
