CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Today Secretary of Health and Human Resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia, John Littel, and Commissioner Nelson Smith of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, announced a $3.7 million grant awarded to Chesapeake Regional Healthcare to build a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). Chesapeake Regional is renovating existing space in its Emergency Department to build the CPEP, which will open in December.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Hospital Authority awarded 10 scholarships to graduating seniors from Chesapeake and northeast North Carolina high schools during their annual scholarship awards dinner held in June. CHESAPEAKE, Va. – This morning the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation hosted its annual Bra-ha-ha® 5K Run/Walk on Chesapeake Regional’s North Battlefield Blvd. campus. A record number, more than 800 runners and walkers, registered for this year’s race, part of the Foundation’s annual Bra-ha-ha campaign. Despite the rain, 629 survivors, seniors, supporters and children enjoyed today’s 5K course, along with a variety of vendors. Everyone who registered received a race T-shirt, medal and swag bag.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation celebrated its 17th annual Bra-ha-ha® Awards Show & Auction tonight, Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott – Chesapeake. Over 400 people attended the inspirational event where over 130 decorated bras were displayed and entered in this year’s competition. A$1,000 check was presented to the grand prize winner.
