Robotic Surgery

These days, many surgeries come down to a small incision site that gets patients back to life quickly and doing the things they love. At Chesapeake Regional Healthcare we offer our patients the most-effective, most-advanced and least-invasive robotic surgical treatments available.

Robotic surgery is a type of minimally invasive surgery that can enhance precision and allow surgeons to perform advanced procedures through small incisions. This often results in less scarring and faster recovery times for patients.

da Vinci®️ Surgical System

The da Vinci® Surgical System provides surgeons with an alternative to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy, putting a surgeon’s hands at the controls of a state-of-the-art robotic platform. The da Vinci System enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions with unmatched precision.

MAKOplasty Robotic Arm Technology

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center offers MAKOplasty for knee and hip pain. MAKOplasty robotic arm technology enables surgeons to perform personalized partial knee and total hip replacement surgery, resulting in fewer complications and a shorter recovery time allowing you to return to your daily activities more quickly.

This technology offers the potential for a higher level of patient–specific implant alignment and positioning to accurately reproduce the surgical plan, an aspect not consistently achieved in manual techniques. Accurate alignment and positioning of hip implants are important factors affecting surgical outcomes and the lifespan of implants.

Mazor X™ Robotics

The Mazor X™ allows the surgeon to perform minimally invasive spine surgery with an added layer of precision and accuracy. From building a surgical plan using a scan of the patient’s spine, to inserting screws accurately with minimal incisions, the Mazor X™ has enhanced our surgical program for the benefit of our patients.

Corindus Corpath GRX System

Increased control and accuracy

The Corindus CorPath® GRX System is the first FDA-cleared medical device to bring robotic-assisted precision to percutaneous coronary and vascular procedures. This new technology provides increased control and accuracy via robotic assisted operation and has greater clinical success in complex cases as compared to comparable manual procedures.

Synaptive MODUS V™

Modus V is a robotic digital microscope that seamlessly combines advanced engineering with the latest breakthroughs in optics, video processing, and robotic automation to deliver a new kind of operating experience. Designed through interdisciplinary collaboration, the Synaptive Integrated Suite enables precision care through the synergy of high-quality information and cutting-edge automation at all stages of clinical intervention.
