CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation celebrated its 18th annual Bra-ha-ha® Awards Show & Auction tonight, Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, at the Delta Hotels by Marriott – Chesapeake. Over 450 people attended the inspirational event, where more than 145 decorated bras were displayed and entered in this year’s competition. A $1,000 check was presented to the grand prize winner.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Recently, Chesapeake Regional Healthcare performed its 100th open-heart surgery. The successful emergency surgery was performed by James W. Klena, MD, along with Chesapeake Regional’s open heart surgical team. For the 17-month-old program, this achievement is a testament to the community's need and the dedication of the leadership and clinical teams.

CHESAPEAKE – Kelsey Williams, M.D., will join The Breast Center at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare as a full-time breast surgeon beginning Monday, Sept. 10, 2018. Williams will practice with Chesapeake Surgical Specialists, part of Chesapeake Regional Medical Group.

CHESAPEAKE - Beginning Nov. 12, 2018, women in labor at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center’s BirthPlace will be among the first in our area with access to Nitrous Oxide as a form of pain management during childbirth. Women using it can control their own pain relief by choosing when to put the mask on and when to take it off, increasing their sense of control and well-being.
