New Partnership Brings Low Cost, High Quality Surgical Options To the Hampton Roads Region

CHESAPEAKE, Va.— Two physician-owned entities, Cape Surgical and the Obelisk Group, are partnering with Chesapeake Regional Healthcare to form the Chesapeake Regional Surgery Center at Virginia Beach.  The ambulatory surgery center (ASC), located at 229 Clearfield Avenue in Virginia Beach, first opened in 2015 as a hospital department. As a jointly owned surgery center, it will offer even more value to the community.  

Jennifer Miles-Thomas, M.D., a physician partner says, “This innovative partnership provides patients with surgical expertise specializing in urologic procedures and minimally invasive spinal surgery. Patients throughout the Hampton Roads region will benefit from the state-of-the-art equipment and robotic technology that greatly optimizes patient outcomes and enhances recovery.
