Kristi Wooten and John Maxwell Join Chesapeake Hospital Authority

 

Two new members have recently been appointed by Chesapeake City Council to the Chesapeake Hospital Authority. Kristi Wooten and John Maxwell began their appointment on April 27 and their terms will last to January 2021. The Chesapeake Hospital Authority is an 11-member board of area citizens who work together to ensure that Chesapeake Regional Healthcare’s services align with the community’s needs.

Kristi Wooten is the Managing Partner at the Wooten Law Group, PLC and focuses her practice in the field of Family Law. She earned a Master’s Degree and a Law Degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va. Wooten sits on several professional boards, including Virginia’s Indigent Defense Commission, Virginia’s Board of Social Work and Chesapeake’s Board of Equalization, and is active with church and community leadership roles.  She has previously served on the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors.

John Maxwell is a Senior Vice President at The Mercer Group. He has more than 20 years of experience as a management consultant. His areas of expertise include finance, human resources, executive search, management and organizational improvement and staffing needs analysis. Maxwell served as City Manager of Chesapeake for six years and received a management innovation award by the International City/County Management Association (ICMA). He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Labor Relations from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo., and a Master’s in Public Administration from Iowa State University.
