Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Names New Director
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) recently welcomed Elisa Wills as the new Chief Development Officer for the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation. Wills began her tenure on Monday, Feb. 19.
Wills brings with her 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has served the past four years as Executive Director and Vice President of Development for the American Heart Association (AHA) of Hampton Roads. Among her many accomplishments, Wills enhanced donor relationships and communication, and implemented strategies to increase revenue for their core events by 22 percent in 2016. Wills also rebuilt the Hampton Roads volunteer structure including the Executive Leadership Teams for all the major, local AHA events.
“We are pleased to welcome Elisa Wills to our team. Her expertise in development, management and strategic planning will help the Foundation reach new heights,” said Patrick L. Reynolds, Chairman of the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board.
Of her new position, Wills said, “As a native of Chesapeake, I am excited to join the team at Chesapeake Regional. Its roots in the community are strong, and I believe in the work the Foundation is doing to improve the health of the citizens in our community.”
Prior to working for the AHA, Wills was the Area Executive Director of the American Cancer Society in Hampton Roads and has worked in development for her entire career.
Wills graduated from Western Branch High School and received her bachelor’s degree in communication and sociology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Va. She lives in Chesapeake with her husband, Tony, and their two sons.
