Each year, Chesapeake Regional Healthcare, the Authority Board and the Auxiliary award several scholarships to students currently pursuing a career in the health care field and who are attending a college or university or who are enrolled in an accredited program of study. Externships are event offered to rising high school seniors attending a Chesapeake Public School or an child of a CRH employee.

Financial Aid is Available to All Patients Who QualifyFor those unable to pay in full at the time of service, the hospital will accept monthly payments on a pre-determined schedule, as stated in the hospital financial aid policy and which is established with a credit representative or financial counselor.
Due to Medicaid expansion, more adults in Virginia now have access to quality, low-cost and no-cost health insurance. Virginians aged 19-64 can submit an application at any time of the year to get the health care they need so they don't have to worry about getting sick or having an accident.
