Chesapeake Regional Healthcare Names Reese Jackson as President and Chief Executive Officer

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) today announced that Reese Jackson, JD, MHA, FACHE has been named the next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Jackson is an accomplished health care strategist with more than two decades of progressive leadership experience in diverse health care settings and organizations across the country. More recently, Jackson was the President and CEO of Forbes Hospital, a community hospital in Monroeville, Pa. with more than 300 beds and a certified Level II Trauma Center.

“We believe Mr. Jackson’s expertise leading independent health care institutions will be an asset in helping our hospital further its mission of improving the health and well-being of our neighbors and reinvesting in the community,” said Rhonda Bridgeman, Chair of the Chesapeake Hospital Authority. “We are pleased to welcome Mr. Jackson as the next leader of our hospital.”

Jackson has strong ties to the Commonwealth, where he received a Masters of Health Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond. Jackson, his wife Mary Ann, and their two daughters will be relocating to Chesapeake.

“I am looking forward to moving my family home and joining the talented team of dedicated professionals at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare,” said Jackson. “I am honored to lead an institution so central to the fabric of this community that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families each day.” 

Jackson’s first day at CRH will be December 1. He replaces Alton Stocks, M.D., who served as Interim President & CEO since March 2016.
