CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Healthcare has something special planned for women in South Norfolk. Women’s Wellness Wednesdays, to be held on the first Wednesday of each month through November, will hold its first event tomorrow, June 2. It will be held from 10 am - 2 pm in the parking lot outside of the Chesapeake Rx Pharmacy, located in the Bainbridge Marketplace Shopping Center, at 254 Bainbridge Boulevard.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) is pleased to support Juneteenth in the Park. In addition to being a presenter, Chesapeake Regional will also have their Mobile Mammography Unit at the park from 1-5 pm. Mammograms will be available on a first come, first served basis. For those who are uninsured or underinsured, funds from Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation’s Bra-ha-ha© may be available to help cover the cost. Juneteenth in the Park runs from 12-5 pm at Town Point Park in Norfolk and is free and open to the public.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Hospital Authority recently awarded 11 scholarships to graduating seniors from Chesapeake and northeast North Carolina high schools. Each recipient received a $2,500 scholarship to further their education in healthcare.  The students are attending a college or university in the fall of 2021 and plan to pursue a degree in the field of healthcare. They were selected based on their academic records, test results, character references, extra-curricular activities, community service, interest in the health sciences and financial need. 
CHESAPEAKE, Va.– It was announced Tuesday that a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be built on the Chesapeake Regional Healthcare campus. The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded the project, a 24.5-acre site on the Chesapeake Regional Healthcare campus along Knells Ridge Boulevard, behind the W. Stanley Jennings Outpatient Center, to The Molasky Group of Companies.
The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation will host its annual fundraising Gala on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Chesapeake Conference Center. Proceeds from this year’s “British Invasion” themed event will benefit the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Endowment and be used in the mother/baby unit at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Healthcare has changed some of its visitor guidelines, however masks are always required and only visitors over 12 years of age are allowed in the hospital.  In-patients who do not have COVID-19 may have up to two visitors at a time now. Exceptions are Labor & Delivery, where a spouse/partner and one other person may visit, but only those two designated people are allowed for the duration of the patient’s stay. Also, for babies in the special care nursery, only one parent or caregiver with a wristband may visit.
