The Bra-Ha-Ha® Season is here: Bra Registration is Open and The Awards Show & Auction Is Celebrating 15 Years in 2022!

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation’s annual Bra-ha-ha® is a one-of-a-kind fundraising campaign that celebrates survivorship and artistry. The community is encouraged to design a bra that tells a story, shares an inspiration, or simply shows creativity! Anyone can enter – groups, businesses, or individuals. Registration at Brahaha.org is open through Sept. 23. The first 50 people to register will receive a gift.

This year’s event will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, from 6-9 p.m., at Tidewater Community College’s Chesapeake Student Center, 1428 Cedar Road, in Chesapeake.

The Bra-ha-ha® Awards Show & Auction began in 2008. During the past 15 years, nearly $2 million has been raised to fund free mammograms and related breast health services to eligible community members, and advanced technology at Chesapeake Regional Breast Care.

With a 38-C bra as their canvas, interested community members are challenged to construct unique and over-the-top designs using breast cancer as inspiration. These humorous and heartwarming masterpieces feature bra art created to raise awareness of breast cancer, to honor those who have won their fight, and to remember those who lost their battle.

Each bra is judged in the category they enter and for Most Creative, Best Craftsmanship and Most Inspirational. The Grand Prize winner will receive a $1,000 check. All are chosen by local celebrity judges. After the Awards show and Auction is held, a People’s Choice winner will be chosen via Facebook voting.
