2026 Bra-ha-ha®: Vote for PEOPLE’S CHOICE through Oct 29th!

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation recently celebrated its 19th annual Bra-ha-ha® Awards Show & Auction at the Delta Hotels by Marriott in Chesapeake. Over 450 people attended the inspirational event, where more than 160 decorated bras were displayed and entered in this year’s competition. Breast cancer survivors modeled the winning bras, and the grand prize winner received a $1,000 check.

The Bra-ha-ha is a “Seriously Uplifting” event featuring bras created to raise awareness of breast cancer, honor those who have won their fight, and remember those who have lost their battle. Attendees come to celebrate, be inspired, and help continue to show that mammograms save lives!

This year’s Awards Show winners:

•    Best Craftsmanship: Light Beyond Midnight– designed by Dollar Tree
•    Most Inspirational: Wings of Hope– designed by April Clark
•    Best General Entry - Individuals: Her Colors, Her Courage – designed by Katherine Tsetsilas
•    Best General Entry - Business: Sewn with Love – designed by Katherine Washington, Texas Roadhouse
•    Best School Entry - Adult: She fought. She won. She rang the bell. – designed by Chesapeake Career Center
•    Best School Entry (14 & above): Taco Bout the Girls – designed by Courihn and Sadie, Grassfield High School
•    Best School Entry (13 & under): Race in Motion, Strength in Support – designed by Brooklynn Anderson
•    Best CRH Staff Entry: Lady Liberty’s Secret – designed by Kim Casey
•    Best Midnight Oasis Entry: Mirage no More: An Oasis of Hope – designed by Melissa Commons and Sherri Fredrickson

Vote for the People’s Choice Award through Oct. 29
The public is invited to view all bras in this year’s competition during an exhibit at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach until Oct. 29, 2026. The inspirational bra art exhibit will be on display in Center Court, where the public can view the creative designs and use QR codes to vote for their favorite bra to win the People’s Choice Award.

Survivors invited to celebrate on Oct. 22
Breast cancer survivors are invited to attend The Bra-ha-ha Celebration at Lynnhaven Mall Center Court, 701 Lynnhaven Parkway, in Virginia Beach, on Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m. Free and open to the public, registration is required. Register here to attend.

Support the Raffle
On Monday, November 2, 2026, there will be a drawing for an Orlando Getaway. The drawing is for a six-night stay, March 29-April 4, 2026, at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort. It’s a two-bedroom Villa – Poolside that sleeps eight. A perfect home base for creating lasting Orlando memories. Winner must be 18 by the date of the drawing. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased here. Proceeds from this raffle support the Bra-ha-ha® mission. Every ticket purchased helps save lives through early detection and access to care.

Need a free mammogram?
Since its inception, The Bra-ha-ha® has raised over $2 million. Net proceeds help provide breast health screenings to uninsured and underinsured community members and to fund advanced breast health technology at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.
