I would expect a Cardiologist to listen to heart on first visit, perhaps check pulse rate and blood pressure to compare with medical history forwarded to him. None of this happened.

Dr Ashby is my cardiologist. He is not my primary care giver. During this visit he did not have access to my most recent lab values ordered by my primary care giver. This, I was told was due to a flaw In network computer system that hinders free flow of Information between CRH providers

Bad experience. My appointment with Dr Ashby was supposed to be a second opinion of a stress ECG based on a new ECG. This did not happen. Instead, Dr Ashby only did a resting ECG and looked at the results of my existing ECG. I questioned the tech who did the resting ECG why I was not on a treadmill. I called the office manager after my appointment to find out what happened and only got defensive excuses. The appointment was a complete waste of my time and money. Ridiculous experience.

Due to heavy traffic I was asked to reschedule my appointment being 3 minutes late. I also have mobility difficulty I use a walker to help me. I rescheduled for a later appointment the same day. I was 30 minutes early. With assistance of two of my adult children and someone complained about number of people in room. I have been seen with more family members before so I don't understand why it was a problem. My family are concerned and want to see me receive the best health care.

I was prepared to change providers when I went in and met with Dr. Ashby. He completely turned me around. His caring, compassionate, and thoughtful explanations of where my health stood reframed my thinking. He instilled trust in me and convinced me that the 35 minute drive to see him was well worth it.

Very good care. Explained in detail of results from my last stay. Apologized for my wait. Took awhile to receive medical records from Leigh hospital. Reason computers were not on same system. Had to wait for hospital to send over my hospital stay records.
