There's no bad experience with Dr. Akragorn. He is a professional. He is respectful, thorough and competent. He always goes through any medical problems and addresses them. He always follows through with any needed prescriptions and results from any testing. With previous physicians, I've always had to call the office for test results. Dr. Akragorn's office always follows up with me. Dr. Akragorn is the best doctor I've ever had.

A person did not follow up on my lab results but they were normal and available in the portal which I prefer. My physician provided education about the circumstances under which I would be called which was if there was anything abnormal. I prefer to use the portal to view all normal test results.

It took about 5 months to get a new patient appointment at the clinic but this seems to be on par with other clinics in the area. I was very happy with the physician. I work in healthcare and felt that my physician was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and empathetic. I highly recommend him and the clinic. I feel fortunate that I was able to find such a wonderful physician and clinic and am very thankful for the wonderful care I was provided.

If only other medical facilities were like Dr. Akragorn's, what a wonderful healthcare world we would live in! Patients are treated with respect as soon as they enter through the door. Your time is important, too, and you are seen in a timely manner. Dr. Akragorn has a great team, from his office staff, to his nurse, to the lab; all are professional, attentive and knowledgeable! I don't think you could find a better nurse anywhere!

I am so happy I found this doctors office. I really like the personal relationship. The doctor develops almost immediately with a new patient. He is always available to answer questions by phone. He is easy to reach and he returns calls in a very prompt manner.

The most irritating part of dealing with this office is the rediculosly long recording at the begining of call to the office. We have heard it so many times it is rediculous especially returning calls a few minutes later.

Only complaint is that if I have an 8am appointment so I arrive at 7:50, and I'm not seen until 8:30. Wouldn't be such a big deal if there weren't signs that say if patients aren't there within 10 minutes of appointment time they can cancel. Should go both ways! I've basically started trying to schedule a different time, since I know the early AMs I won't be seen for ~40 minutes. Other than that, A+ care and consideration.

This office is absolutely great! I enjoy seeing dr agkaorn. He listens and makes sure your overall health is top priority! He also will have Students that come in to learn and discuss your health which is wonderful. Front desk staff is always very welcoming and gets you checked in quickly! I love the nurses that greet you as well, they make sure to go over your medical history to insure you have the best quality of experience with your provider.

Everyone that you encounter at this medical office is professional, knowledgeable, and most helpful, from the time you walk in the door to the time you walk out the door. This is one of the last healthcare offices that still provides proficient care! You leave knowing that a good conscience decision was made when hiring the staff instead of wondering if the staff was hired in desperation, like many other medical offices. Dr. Akragorn genuinely cares for his patients, and is knowledgeable in his profession. It would be difficult to find a nurse better than Dr. Akragorn's! This office certainly provides a reputable reputation in healthcare for Chesapeake Regional!

Bio
Dr. Eddie Akragorn works with Chesapeake Regional Medical Group (CRMG) Primary Care, After earning bachelor’s degrees in economics and biological sciences with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Akragorn received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in New York. He completed his residency at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute and an internship with the Duke University Hospital program in N.C. Akragorn is board certified in family medicine and a member of the Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association and the World Allergy Organization in addition to several other professional organizations. He is widely published and serves on the faculty of the Old Dominion University Graduate College of Health Sciences as an Adjunct Clinical Professor.
