We’ve combined personalized care, highly skilled medical experts and advanced technology to bring patients a team who works on their behalf to provide exceptional cancer treatment. Together with a dedicated program navigator/social worker, we strive to alleviate much of the stress and fear cancer can cause, enabling patients and their caregivers to focus on what matters most: fighting cancer.
If a patient has been diagnosed with lung cancer, their doctor will work to determine the extent to help them and what treatment is most appropriate. Staging tests may include imaging procedures that allow doctors to look for evidence that cancer has spread beyond a patient’s lungs.
Zephyr® Endobronchial Valve Procedure
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is proud to be the first hospital in Hampton Roads to offer the Zephyr® Valve treatment to patients with severe COPD/emphysema. This minimally invasive procedure allows emphysema sufferers to breathe easier and be more active and energetic without having major surgery.
At Chesapeake Regional, we understand that the cancer journey does not end at the completion of treatment. That’s why we offer support throughout the entire process. Radiation Oncology patients are invited to the Survivorship Clinic during their follow-up appointment about 30 days after finishing treatment.
