CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) has expanded its cancer center and named the new state-of-the art building the Priority Toyota Cancer Center in recognition of a generous gift from Dennis Ellmer, President & CEO of Priority Automotive and Toyota USA. The new facility is located on the health care organization’s campus, at 736 Battlefield, Blvd., North in Chesapeake.

CHESAPEAKE, Va— Today Chesapeake Regional Healthcare provided 1,100 COVID-19 vaccines to high risk community members in the phase 1b vaccination group. Qualifying Chesapeake City employees, police, fire fighters and Chesapeake residents at greatest risk were vaccinated at today’s event, held at The Mount Chesapeake’s Signet Center, 884 Bells Mill Road.  
CHESAPEAKE, Va.—Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is partnering with pastors from 20 African American churches and four social organizations, to include medical students at EVMS, to provide 2,000 scheduled COVID-19 vaccines on Tuesday, February 16 and Wednesday, February 17. Members of the community who are 65 and older in the phase 1b vaccination group will have priority. The two-day event will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 2587 Campostella Road, in Chesapeake.
CHESAPEAKE, Va.— Two physician-owned entities, Cape Surgical and the Obelisk Group, are partnering with Chesapeake Regional Healthcare to form the Chesapeake Regional Surgery Center at Virginia Beach.  The ambulatory surgery center (ASC), located at 229 Clearfield Avenue in Virginia Beach, first opened in 2015 as a hospital department. As a jointly owned surgery center, it will offer even more value to the community.  
CHESAPEAKE, Va.— On Tuesday, Chesapeake Regional reached an exciting milestone by officially administering its 10,000th COVID-19 vaccine dose. The occasion was celebrated when Chesapeake Regional Medical Group patient, Granville Barefoot, 91, of Elizabeth City, received his second vaccine during a clinic held on the Chesapeake Regional Healthcare campus.  
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Two new members have recently been appointed by Chesapeake City Council to the Chesapeake Hospital Authority Board. Dee D. Gilmore and Harold J. Marioneaux, Jr. began their appointments in January. Their terms will last through Jan. 2024. The Chesapeake Hospital Authority is an 11-member board of area citizens that oversees the operations of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.
CHESAPEAKE, Va.— May is Nurses Month and in advance of that, the nurses at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare have a lot to celebrate. Their Clinical Coordinator Nursing Team has been selected as Third Runner-Up in the American Nurse Journal’s All Pro Nursing Team competition. 
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH) will hold a phone bank on Wednesday, October 12 from 4 – 6:30 p.m. to offer free breast health screenings to qualified uninsured or underinsured community members.  Interested women should call the phone bank line at (757) 312-6536. Women who qualify will be given a screening appointment time.
CHESAPEAKE, Va.— Today several members of the Chesapeake legislative delegation visited Chesapeake Regional Medical Center’s new critical care patient tower, currently under construction, and took a hard hat tour of the $85 million master facility expansion project currently underway.
