Davis and Schnarrs Join Chesapeake Hospital Authority
CHESAPEAKE – Two new members have recently been appointed by Chesapeake City Council to the Chesapeake Hospital Authority. Roland Davis and Robert H. Schnarrs, M.D. began their appointment on Jan. 10, 2019. Their terms will last until Jan. 2023. The Chesapeake Hospital Authority is an 11-member board of area citizens that oversees the operations of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.
Roland Davis
Davis brings vast knowledge in business valuations, technology and mergers and acquisitions. He is the president of Davis Business Appraisers and a former division president of Landmark Communications, and founder/CEO of Executive Productivity Systems, Inc. Davis served on the Chesapeake City Council from 2014-2018 as well as the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission and the Hampton Roads Regional Broadband Taskforce. In 2013 Davis was named First Citizen of Chesapeake and Chairman of the City of Chesapeake’s 50th Anniversary. He serves on numerous charity and corporate boards and is a graduate of West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va.
Robert H. Schnarrs, M.D.
Schnarrs has been practicing in Hampton Roads since 1991. He is a board-certified general surgeon who completed his plastic surgery residency at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Va. Schnarrs served as an assistant professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School early in his career and prior to private practice. He is regionally recognized as a leader in breast reconstruction and treats upper extremity and hand injuries and anomalies. Schnarrs earned his Bachelor of Science degree in pre-medicine from the Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa., then his medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa. Schnarrs is a published author and serves on several academic and hospital committees.
