Chesapeake Regional to Host Free Diaper Distribution this Saturday

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Hampton Roads parents are invited to pick up a month’s supply of free diapers at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., while supplies last. The diaper distribution will be on the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center campus, in a tent behind the Lifestyle Health & Fitness Center, at 800 Battlefield Blvd., North in Chesapeake.

Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation is sponsoring the event. They have partnered with EveryLife Diapers to purchase high-quality diapers, in sizes 1-6, and size 1 training pants. Parents must bring their child to ensure they receive the correct diaper size.

“We are proud to support this diaper distribution because it provides immediate relief to parents and strengthens the health and well-being of children in our community,” says Elisa Wills, Chief Development Officer at Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation. “Partnerships like this demonstrate what is possible when community organizations work together to support families with dignity and compassion.”

This is the second year the Foundation has held a diaper distribution in May. Chesapeake Regional also holds a distribution in December, sponsored by the Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia.

“Diaper need is a reality for many families, yet it often goes unseen. This event is about ensuring that families feel supported, respected, and connected to resources that can help them thrive,” said Shannon Roberts, Director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. “Chesapeake Regional is grateful to everyone who has contributed to making this effort possible.”
