The 2023 Bra-Ha-Ha® season is here! Join the 5K. Design a bra. Support the cause.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation’s annual Bra-ha-ha® season is here and registration is open. Anyone can enter the bra design contest– groups, businesses, or individuals. Register at Brahaha.org through Sept. 22. 

Bra-ha-ha events include:

• 5K Run/Walk - Saturday, Sept. 9, at 8 a.m., beginning at the Jennings Outpatient Center, 844 Battlefield Blvd., North in Chesapeake
  
  
• The Bra-ha-ha at Elizabeth City - Saturday, Sept. 30, from 3-5 p.m., at Seven Sounds Brewing Co., 112 N Water St., in Elizabeth City, NC
  
  
• The Bra-ha-ha Awards Show & Auction - Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, from 6-9 p.m., at the Delta Hotels by Marriott - Chesapeake, at 725 Woodlake Drive
  
  
• The Bra-ha-ha Celebration at Lynnhaven Mall - Saturday, Oct. 28, from 9-11 a.m., Lynnhaven Mall Center Court, 701 Lynnhaven Pkwy., Virginia Beach

The one-of-a-kind fundraising campaign, celebrating survivorship and artistry, would not be possible without bra designers to create humorous and heartwarming works of art. Their masterpieces help raise awareness of breast cancer. 

With a 38-C bra as their canvas, bra makers are challenged to construct unique and over-the-top designs that tell a story, share an inspiration, or simply show creativity. 

A Grand Prize winner will be announced at the Awards Show & Auction and awarded a $1,000 check. All winners are chosen by local celebrity judges. After the Awards show and Auction is held, a People’s Choice winner will be chosen via Facebook voting.

Nearly $2 million has been raised to fund free mammograms and related breast health services to eligible community members, and advanced technology at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare.
