Chesapeake Hospital Authority Awards 2023 Scholarships

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Hospital Authority awarded 10 scholarships to graduating seniors from Chesapeake and northeast North Carolina high schools during their annual scholarship awards dinner, held June 22. Each recipient received a $5,000 scholarship to further their education in healthcare.

“This is a highly competitive group of students,” said Sandra Baynes, Chair of the Chesapeake Hospital Authority Scholarship Committee. “The students we selected have demonstrated academic success, good character, and a desire to enter the healthcare field. We wish them well in their future careers.”

The students will be attending a four-year college or university in the fall. They were selected based on academic records, character references, community service, interest in the health sciences and financial need.
