Caroline M. Matthews, MSN, AGACNP-BC, RN, PCCN, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Va, and holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Psychology-Neuroscience. Caroline has held progressive nursing roles in neurocritical care and neurosurgery units. As a member of the UVA Neurology Consult Team, she managed urgent neurology patients and helped reduce emergency department return visits. She has a passion for research. Her dedication has earned her Preceptor of the Year and Daisy Award nominations, along with UVA merit scholarships.
