Foundation to Host Chapel Renovation Reception

CHESAPEAKE – Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation will share their vision for expanding and redesigning the chapel located inside Chesapeake Regional Medical Center during a reception on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 5:30 p.m., in the hospital’s main lobby, 736 Battlefield Boulevard, North.

Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation has launched a $100,000 Chapel Renovation Campaign to expand the hospital’s existing nine seat chapel. The redesign will better serve patients, families and staff with a larger, brighter and more welcoming space to worship. Local church, business and government leaders will gather for the reception when they will hear a personal story from a community member whose family found comfort visiting the chapel daily during a long stay at Chesapeake Regional.

The new chapel will offer peace and comfort and allow the hospital to expand programs such as weekly prayer meetings, family support activities, special ceremonies and memorial services. Guests will be able to tour the current space during the reception.

Other guest speakers will include Dan Banister, Foundation board member and Banister Automotive owner, Reese Jackson, President & CEO of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare, and Pastor Anthony Ferebee, Site Pastor of The Mount Elizabeth City.
