Chesapeake Hospital Authority Awards 2019 Scholarships

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - The Chesapeake Hospital Authority recently awarded 11 scholarships to graduating seniors from Chesapeake and northeast North Carolina. Each recipient received a $2,500 scholarship to further their education in healthcare. 

The students have all been accepted into a college or university and plan to pursue a degree in health care. The Scholarship Committee considered the awardees based on their academic records, test results, character references, extra-curricular activities, community service, interest in the health care field and financial need. Recipients were presented with the scholarships and plaques at the annual scholarship dinner and meeting on June 24, 2019.
