Crouch, Kos, Morgon, Preston and Warren Join Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors
Five new members have recently joined the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board of Directors. Christopher (Chris) Crouch, Michael J. Kos, C. Ross Morgan, Tara Preston and Woody Warren began their appointments on July 1, 2018. Their terms will last through June 2021.
The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Board is a volunteer board formed to carry out and support the philanthropic, scientific and educational purposes of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. The group presents the annual Bra-ha-ha® which raises funds to provide mammograms and other related breast services for the area’s underserved women. It also hosts the yearly Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Gala, the largest event of its kind in Chesapeake.
Christopher (Chris) Crouch
Chris Crouch is the Director of Business Development at RRMM Architects, headquartered in Chesapeake. Previously, he was the Marketing and Business Development Manager for S.B. Ballard Construction in Virginia Beach. Prior to joining S.B. Ballard Construction, Crouch served as the Director of Football Operations at Old Dominion University where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office and program. He currently serves as a board member with the Chesapeake Public Schools Education Foundation as well as an active volunteer with Little Feet Meet, ODU’s Special Olympics event that serves over 300 elementary school children from the Norfolk Public Schools. Crouch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa. and earned a master’s degree in Sports Management from Old Dominion University in 2005.
Michael J. Kos
Michael J. Kos has more than 32 years of broad-ranging bank experience having worked as an executive for many local banking institutions. He currently serves as senior vice president at Union Bank & Trust. Kos earned a bachelor of arts in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan University in 1986 and a master’s of business administration from Old Dominion University in 1991. He is active in the Hampton Roads community, serving as the Market Board Chair for the March of Dimes and is a member of the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the City of Chesapeake. He also is an active member of the Chesapeake Rotary Club and serves on the Chesapeake Public Schools Education Foundation Blue Ribbon Committee.
C. Ross Morgan
Ross Morgan has been with TowneBank for over 18 years and currently serves as the Executive Vice President, Senior Lending Officer, in Chesapeake. In 2014 Morgan was named an Inside Business Top 40 under 40. He is the former director or the Chesapeake Division of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and has served as president of the Chesapeake Rotary Club and vice chairman of the Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority. Morgan is a graduate of the Virginia Banker’s Association School of Bank Management and the Vann Lefcoe Leadership Class of 2003. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va. in 2000.
Tara Preston
Tara Preston is president of Preston Homes, Inc., located in Chesapeake. Her career began in the real estate department of a local community bank and as a mortgage loan officer. Preston began restoring older homes and then moved into land acquisition and development in 2005. She serves on the board of commissioners for the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority and is Vice President of the Chesapeake Jubilee. She serves on the board of the Tidewater Builders Association and is a member of the Chesapeake Rotary Club.
Woody Warren
Woody Warren is the owner of RE/MAX Ultra, providing real estate services to both sides of the state line with offices in Chesapeake, Va. and Moyock N.C. He is a lifelong resident of Chesapeake and a fourth-generation resident of the Hickory/Great Bridge area where he lives with his family. Warren earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University. He is an active member of the Chesapeake Rotary Club.
