The doctor was patient, friendly, and helpful. I was frustrated because I called three days prior to my appointment and left a message asking if I needed to fast before the appointment. I never got a response and apparently I was supposed to fast. Now I have to go up another time to get blood work done.

I had a 10:00 o'clock appointment was told to arrive 30 minutes early, I arrived at 09:30 and didn't get to see my provider until 10:35. I began to get frustrated and was attempted to leave, as just as I was preparing to leave I was called in to see Dr Munday.

I have consistently had a good experience with Dr. Mundy and the front desk staff. The medical assistants' behavior is not as professional as it should be. During this visit, I felt that Crystal not only didn't listen to me (I told her my blood pressure often read overly high when using the automated blood pressure and when it did, she didn't offer to take it manually) but was then in a hurry to leave and was upset about having to stay and give me a flu shot - I could hear an exchange between her and Dr. Mundy where Crystal made the comment that Dr. Mundy didn't tell her I needed a flu shot and it sounded like she had already packed up to leave while I was still in the room. She then came back to do the flu shot and re-take my blood pressure - with the automated machine again. When it was high, she asked if I wanted her to do it manually and I said yes. I felt like she was very put out by it. Dr. Mundy then came back and took my blood pressure manually as it had continued to climb at that point due to the things going on in the office I presume.

I called my PCP's medical assistant over two months ago asking for a recommendation to get an allergy test. The front desk called me back a week later saying that I would need to come in for a consultation, which I thought was ridiculous because my insurance does not require me to get a referral to receive service. I explained this to the receptionist and she said that she would call me back. I received a message from the medical assistant saying that there had been a misunderstanding and that I could come in for the allergy test. After I checked in for my appointment and went back with the medical assistant, it was clear that she had no idea what she was doing. She asked me if I wanted to have my flu shot when I had already received it on September 22. Clearly, she did not check my medical records. Then, she asked me if Dr. Mundy had ordered the allergy test for me. I had no idea. Dr. Mundy came in and acted like she didn't know that I had an allergic reaction when I had explained to her at my last visit in June what I had gone through. Apparently, she never documented this important medical information. Dr. Mundy acted like she was annoyed that I was there and said only a dermatologist could give me the allergy test I need. She also stated that my appointment could have been and phone call and blamed me for not being detailed enough in the portal when I clearly stated twice with her medical assistant the care I needed. Once the visit was done, Dr. Mundy didn't even walk me out to the lobby. Absolutely no customer service. To top it off, my Lyft app was not loading outside so I came back in the office and asked for the WiFi password and the receptionist would not even look my way before saying she could not help me. I ended up having to walk all the way to Walmart to get service. Long story short, after this appointment, I found a new PCP.

Dr. Mundy had no knowledge pertaining to my health or medical history and it was frustrating re-explaining EVERYTHING to her. It was almost as if she did not have my medical records in front of her. I'm severely disappointed with the care of her and her team and suggest it is spoken about.

On my last visit I felt a little rushed. At the end of my exam the doctor opend the exam room door and walked ahead of me to the lab for blood work. I took a seat out side of the lab waiting for the tech whet Dr Mundy was on talking to the lab tech. Dr Mundy then walked right passed me while I was waiting to get my blood work done. Dr Mundy did not anything to me like have a good day.

Dr. Clare Mundy is exceptional. We are fairly new to the area(4 years) and have had a hard time finding a primary care. As you are aware there is a shortage of physicians in our area.Or should I say good physicians. We had tried someone almost two years ago which was a total disappointment. Other medical practitioners I have met with In the area have also been disappointing. When I saw Dr. Mundy had come to our area we booked our appointments. We think she is wonderful! Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is very fortunate to have her. Find more like her. My suggestions for the health systems in Hampton Roads area is to seek out and work to attract the good medical practitioners from other areas. My husband and I are very pleased with our experience with Dr. Mundy and the staff at the facility.

Dr. Mundy is great for a young doctor. She could definitely manage her time better though. Also, when discharged from emergency room with instructions to see PCP immediately it took 9 calendar days to see her. This is unacceptable. My previous doctor who retired, Dr Charles Marks would have saw me in a day or two max. I think the root cause is front office overloading her with new patients and poor time management. Everyone playing with their phones!

The staff is ALWAYS professional. Dr. Mundy reviewed my vitals, talked to me about my concerns, reccomended an adjustment & reccomended a follow up. Seems like a common thing to do but not so much at other places. Dr. M even puts thorough, understandable notation on the 'My-Health chart app to allow me to review what was discussed.

This visit addressed serious issues with my blood pressure. Dr. Mundy and I were able to come up with a plan to adjust medications to address those issues. Better yet we discussed small additional changes to make should it become necessary for the best blood pressure control. This was a very good way to address recent changes in my chronic blood pressure disease.

I had not had a PC provider in over a year. My old doctor changed practices. When I saw Dr. Miundy was excepting new patients I called and was able to get an appointment within a week of my calll. Dr Mundy is very easy to talk to I don't feel rushed when in her office her staff are also awesome!!

I will not be going back to this provider. I feel like she really didn't seem to care about what I was talking about. I felt no sympathy from her in my situation (I had a divorce and a miscarriage in February) I also received a message from her the next day stating I should come back to get my mouth sores swabbed for herpes test. I never talked about herpes with her or have or had mouth sores. She must have confused me with another patient. I emailed back saying I never talked about mouth sores never had any or currently do. The nurse emailed me asking to verify that we didn't talk about mouth sores? I feel like since she was typing the whole time talking to me I don't understand how she got confused.

This was my first appointment with Dr. Clare Mundy as replacement for my previous PCP at CRH. As a disabled professional requiring ongoing PCP & specialist care for numerous conditions & injuries, as well as surgeries & pain management, for the past 24-45 yrs, I was extremely impressed with her communication, concern, commitment & care. I am very cautious with trusting physicians new to my care team; however, I was unusually at ease with how well she & I shared questions, answers & added advice. I highly commend & recommend Dr. Clare Mundy.

Mundy seems intent on having my thyroid taken out. I've only been on medication for not even a whole year, yet when this came up, she immediately started discussing surgery. She asked if I planned on having children, but when I said no, she said something along the lines of, "Women with your condition usually have their thyroids taken out so they're not on the medication, because it can cause fetal damage." I'm not easily frightened, but I am easily annoyed and angered when somebody isn't listening to me. I thought the first route of healthcare was to treat the patient, not cut them open.Now, years ago, I'd seen a specialist about my thyroid, and this specialist hadn't found anything abnormal with the gland. When I told Mundy this, she said, "She must have been a bad specialist." Atrocious bedside manner.On top of that, when I mentioned a dry eye condition, she claimed that the small bumps in my inner lower eyelid were blocked tear ducts. They're not; they're internal styes.I'm appalled by this physician and I don't trust her at all with my health. I regret not following my previous physician to her new practice, but I'm considering doing just that.

Dr. Mundy is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician specializing in Family Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, TX. She completed her residency at the Family Health Centers of San Diego, CA. Dr. Mundy holds credentials in Integrative Medicine and certification from the American Academy of HIV. She is a global health advocate and has served as a medical volunteer in Argentina, Guatemala, Peru, and Honduras. A native English speaker, she is also fluent in Spanish, reading, writing, and speaking the language.
