Whether you're in a rural area, an underserved neighborhood, or facing barriers to traditional clinic access, our Mobile Clinic brings vital services to your doorstep — literally.
Chesapeake Regional Healthcare’s Mobile Health Unit is operated in partnership with Healthy Chesapeake and is graciously funded in part by a Rotary International Global Grant spearheaded by the Rotary Club of Chesapeake.
Our Mission
To close the gap in healthcare access by delivering preventative, primary, and urgent care services to patients where they live, work, and learn. We believe everyone deserves accessible, dignified care — regardless of ZIP code or transportation challenges.
Services We Provide
Our Mobile Clinic delivers high-quality, compassionate care directly to the community — reducing barriers and expanding access to essential health services. We provide a wide range of medical, preventive, and support services for individuals and families.
Primary & Preventive Care
Acute illness treatment (colds, sore throat, flu, minor infections)
Chronic disease management (hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD)
Post-ER or hospital follow-up care (e.g., pneumonia, cellulitis)
Physical exams, including wellness visits and school or sports physicals
Annual Wellness Visits
Well-child and sick-child visits
Women’s health exams, including referrals for mammograms
Contraceptive counseling and resources
Referrals to primary and specialty care as appropriate
Patient Education & Chronic Condition Support
Diabetes education and self-management
Weight management and healthy lifestyle coaching
Smoking cessation resources and support
General health education tailored to patient needs
Health Screenings
Flu shots and seasonal immunizations
Blood pressure checks
Blood sugar checks
Cancer Screenings: Cervical (Pap smears or referral); Prostate (PSA blood tests); Colorectal screenings (distribution of FIT tests); Lung (low-dose CT eligibility)
Diagnostic & Pharmacy Services
No-cost or low-cost lab testing or imaging tests
Prescriptions and pharmacist consultation to support medication access
Referrals to dental clinics and eye exams
Behavioral Health & Support Services
Behavioral health screenings and care coordination
Referrals to mental health services or telehealth therapy
Social services navigation and support
Food prescriptions and nutrition access
Community health outreach and resource navigation (housing, food access, transportation)

- Follow-Up Plan – Receive referrals, prescriptions, or ongoing care plans.
Walk-ins are welcome at all locations. Interpretation services are available.

Our Mobile Clinic rotates through scheduled stops at schools, community centers, shelters, senior housing complexes, and rural neighborhoods. We work closely with local partners to ensure services align with community needs.
