Lung Health Resource Fair
Join us
In conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout®, Chesapeake Regional Healthcare will host a Lung Health Resource Fair on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Main Lobby of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. The event is free and open to the public.
The Lung Health Resource Fair will offer lung function and blood pressure screenings, tools to help quit smoking, respiratory therapists, health educators, and dieticians to provide information about keeping lungs healthy.
Those with a history of heavy smoking are encouraged to call 757-312-3012 to make an appointment for a lung cancer screening. Low-dose CT scans for eligible patients are an approved annual test to detect lung cancer early. Screening detects the disease early when it is easier to treat. Research shows that more than 80% of lung cancers can be cured if they are detected early enough.
