Dr. Furia as usual listened to my concerns, asked relevant questions, went over my medical history and ordered an xray in office and went over the results and gave me a diagnosis that showed exactly what the issue I was having was. This After I had spent 8 hours in the emergency room the week prior and had to leave with no diagnosis after the ER Dr had ordered a CT scan and pumped me full of pain meds. Dr. Furia is a great doctor she always listens to me and provides the care that she and I agree that I should take.

First, this was a walk-in visit and I was take right away. The care I received was absolutely exceptional from the taking of blood pressure to the nurse practitioner to Dr. Furia. The day before, I had to go to ER, in which the doctor there just said I was dehydrated. I followed up with my primary care, but I was a walk in. I was able to get an appointment quick, and I ended up seeing Dr. Furia for the first time. Let me tell you, she is amazing and highly knowledgeable. After she reviewed my medical history, she explained that it may be something more serious than just dehydration. I thought that too. She had all of my paperwork from the ER and explained why the ER doctor did what tests he did. She walked me through all of the steps, as well as future actions she planned for me to take. She explained everything in plain terms for me to fully understand and when I left the appointment, I was less nervous then when I went in because I was able to get some more thorough answers. I hope to see her again, and I am thinking of switching to her as my primary doctor.

I was a walk in and saw the doctor as apposed to who I normally would see. My shoulder was in very bad condition. I have been suffering for six months with this shoulder and couldn't stand the pain any longer. I'm awaiting appointment with Orthopedic doctor next month. The kind and very wise doctor knew exactly what was going on. She explained the X-rays and MRI in a way that I could understand and talked me out of my fears of getting a cortisone shot. I'm very impressed and grateful for being lucky enough to have seen the doctor. I'm not out of the woods yet and face a lot of painful and stressful days ahead, but I will remember the doctor for her knowledge and compassion.

Both Dr.Butler and Dr. Furia are excellent health care providers. They are always pleasant to deal with and take some of my 'fear of doctors' out of the visits. I saw Dr. Furia for an embarrassing problem. She made me feel so much more comfortable, explained my condition in detail, and prescribed medication that has seemed to help. This practice has provided both me, and my wife, with exceptional care. They make me feel at ease In talking with them. We feel SO fortunate to have them as our primary care physicians. The entire staff has always taken a lot of stress out of visits to the doctor. They always take their time to fully understand the problem and never make you feel rushed even though I know they are super busy. I couldn't ask for better care anywhere.

I normally see Stacey Pritchard, whom I really like, but was delighted to see Dr. Furia this visit! I saw her 5 years ago as a walk-in, for a growth that had popped up on my shoulder. Typical, excellent visit. Was having chronic back pain issue for several weeks; Finally decided to get it examined. Dr. Furia immediately identified the cause and developed a treatment plan. We also discussed the results of some recent lab work and addressed that, as well. Completely pleased with the visit.

Dr. Furia was an excellent listener and provided an excellent course of action for my sinus infection. I felt like she had my best physical and mental health in question. It has been a while since I have gone to a doctor who listened to me, requested and appreciated my concerns and opinions. I Was very grateful to be seen by such a good doctor with great communication skillsandalso humble.

I especially like my conversations with Dr. Furia. She always addresses any questions thoroughly. She is friendly and professional. I enjoy our check ins. I usually set weight loss goals with her and we discuss measures I am taking to achieve those through diet and exercise. It's nice to have a partner in the journey!

Dr Furia is a very attentive physician that listens and understands what is going on with me during my visits. She discusses treatment options with me and helps me pick the best option for me. I trust her and that's a major aspect of healthcare for me.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. However, I was having my annual Sinus infection and needed a Zpack. This doctor did not feel like I was sick enough and it just must be viral. Now 7 days later, I've missed 4 days of work and still not feeling 100%. I will not be returning to this location for any future Sinus infections since I know the outcome. Other than the covid & strep test she did absolutely nothing for me.

Dr. Samantha Furia is board-certified in emergency medicine and practices as a primary care provider with Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. She completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, also in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Chesapeake Regional Healthcare, Dr. Furia served as an emergency medicine physician at EmCare Inc. and as the EMS medical advisor and instructor at the College of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC. She is ACLS certified and a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
