Dr. Knips is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. She earned her bachelor’s and medical degrees from the University of Missouri, in Columbia, with honors. She completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Knips has worked as Chief Medical Officer for the Virginia Office of the State Inspector General, Assistant Professor at EVMS and as an independent consultant. Her interests include primary care, preventative medicine, obesity medicine and medical weight loss.
