Starting with the receptionist — they were great. They even printed out my daughter’s and brother’s appointments for me to deliver to them, per my request. Dr. Knips is the greatest doctor ever. I used to see her years ago, and I am so very happy that she is back!

Dr Knips is by far the best PCP I have ever had! I am a 52 year old woman and she gets me, understands me, congratulates me, and encourages me to continue to the right path and make necessary adjustments! Best PCP ever, I enjoy every appointment! She listens to me and not just give me drugs to make it better, she offers me a holistic alternative!

I really like the solutions the doctor provides and how she explains things in a way that I can understand. I also appreciate her assistant, who helps me when making medical appointments with other specialists and when I call to have the doctor prescribe medication to the pharmacy.

Dr. Knips is the best doctor I have ever seen. She truly cares about her patients and is proactive in helping them get healthy. I have lost 20 lbs, improved my A1C and cholesterol and NEVER would have done it without her encouragement and very helpful information she provides. Tanya is also a wonderful nurse!

I must express that Dr Knips is by far the best doctor I have ever had, and I am 51. Why? She listens to me, she is genuinely concerned about me and my health, and she has a beautiful spirit. And this is for her and her team. It feels like family instead of a doctor's office. I hope she never leaves me like other PCPs did!! And her nurse Tonya, I think, is 100% the best as well!!!

Dr. Knips, took excellent care of me. She understood the seriousness of my upper respiratory problems. She prescribed me medicine which helped me and sent me to see a pulmonary doctor right away. This follow up appointment, so was happy that I was doing so much better and was concerned about my problem with my toe. She is my kind of doctor. I appreciate her and will refer everyone to her.

Bio
Dr. Knips is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician. She earned both her bachelor’s and medical degrees with honors from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She completed her residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Knips has held roles as Chief Medical Officer for the Virginia Office of the State Inspector General, Assistant Professor at EVMS, and independent consultant. Her interests include primary care, preventive medicine, obesity medicine, and medical weight loss.
