My experience was amazing! His office is like family. You are not just a number. They are genuinely interested in your well being. They listen but also they won't just tell you what you want yo hear. They are effective with medicine and follow ups and receptionist are amazing and informed. If they don't know the answer they will find it and call you back. I love this doctor and have referee him to others often.

My doctor is an exceptionally caring physician. I am never rushed during my appointments. His concern for my health is genuine and heartfelt, expressed in a very professional and caring manner. With Dr. Ramstad, there are no “stupid” questions. He has been my doctor for years and is highly respected by me and my family. The ladies at the front desk—Catherine, April, and Debbie—are just as awesome, kind, and respectful as Dr. Ramstad. The entire office is truly one of a kind.

I came into the office with cold symptoms. Symptoms treated were for cough and other ongoing medical issues. During the examination my BP, weight & temperature were checked by the nurse. During the time with the Doctor, we went over some of the concerns I had written down. I then was examined by having my BP checked as well as listening to my chest. No examination of my ears, nose and throat were done. I was written a prescription (Antibiotic). Instructions were found on the Patient Portal. In reading up on the process for examination the Doctor may have been treating the main medical concern that could be seen at that moment. The Doctor is a kind Doctor that spends time with each patient.

I would especially like to say that when I call Dr. Ramstad's office I actually get a human being to speak with. This is so important. At many of the other Dr. Offices and my pharmacy I only get recordings which are useless when you have a question or request. And they often do not return messages. In addition, the staff in Dr. Ramstad's office is extremely nice, pleasant and helpful.

Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Ramstad has vast experience in primary care, urgent care, and emergency room medicine. He is known for being a thorough, compassionate provider: Ramstad earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, in Norfolk, Va. and completed his Internal Medicine internship at Brown University's Miriam Hospital, in Providence, R.I. His residency was accomplished at the University of Southern California - Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, in Santa Barbara, Ca. Ramstad earned a Master of Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, Wis. He is a certified medical review officer and since 2011 has served as medical director for Health Research of Hampton Roads, Inc. Dr. Ramstad has skillfully conducted a private practice in Suffolk, Va. since 2008 and prior to that practiced at Lakeview Medical Center, also in Suffolk.
