Chesapeake Regional Healthcare’s brand-new outpatient facility is now open!

CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Chesapeake Regional Healthcare’s brand-new outpatient facility, featuring Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care and MRI & CT Diagnostics, is now open at the corner Battlefield Boulevard and Hanbury Road.

Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care will provide walk-in medical services seven days a week, opening earlier than other urgent care centers in the area. Our urgent care is aimed to serve patients seeking care for immediate but non-critical concerns. Our Emergency Department-trained providers deliver hospital-quality care for non-life-threatening conditions in a convenient neighborhood setting.

Jeff Kingery, Chief Physician Relations Officer, is proud to continue expanding access to care.

“The opening of this urgent care facility demonstrates our commitment to the patients we serve by delivering accessible, high-quality care close to home. We are expanding convenient options for our patients to break down access barriers to health care. The opening of the center will provide same-day care and ease the strain on our Emergency Department.”

Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care is also introducing an “On My Way” feature, allowing patients to virtually get in line for quicker care.

Our fully integrated electronic medical record system ensures seamless communication, faster follow-up, and complete continuity of care. With faster diagnosis through real-time chart sharing, improved safety through access to complete medical histories and prior results, and streamlined referrals to specialists or primary care, Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care aims to be here when patients need it most.

Located in the same building as MRI & CT Diagnostics, patients will benefit from easier access to imaging such as X-ray, ultrasound and CT when needed, eliminating the need to travel elsewhere or delay necessary care.

MRI & CT Diagnostics - Hanbury features advanced technology and diagnostic expertise to give patients a quicker and superior outpatient imaging experience.

Tawana Haynes, Senior Director of Imaging, is proud to expand high-quality outpatient imaging services to the Chesapeake community as the organization continues to elevate access, convenience, and timely diagnostics for patients.
“This new MRI & CT Diagnostics location represents our commitment to providing exceptional imaging in a setting that is efficient, patient-focused, and fully integrated with the care teams who rely on timely results. We are honored to deliver advanced technology and compassionate service that empowers patients to get answers quickly and confidently, close to home.”

The new outpatient facility is located at 1034 Battlefield Blvd. South, just over 10 miles from the North Carolina-Virginia border.

Amber Egyud, Chief Operating & Nursing Officer, says the new facility will continue to expand much needed health care options into Northeast North Carolina.

“Opening this new outpatient facility will allow us to further expand access to imaging for southern Chesapeake and Northeast North Carolina. It will join Chesapeake Regional Healthcare’s efforts to grow our reach to patients living in rural areas who may have a difficult time finding health care.”

Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care’s hours are Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. MRI & CT Diagnostics – Hanbury hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Both Chesapeake Regional Urgent Care and MRI & CT Diagnostics accept most major insurances.
