Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation's "British Invasion" Gala to Raise Funds and Raffle a 2017 Mini Cooper

The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation will host its annual fundraising Gala on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Chesapeake Conference Center. Proceeds from this year’s “British Invasion” themed event will benefit the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Endowment and be used in the mother/baby unit at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center.

This year, the Foundation will raffle a 2017 Mini Cooper, along with other prize packages.  Raffle tickets are $100 each and can be purchased online at www.chesapeakegala.com. Winners do not have to be present to win.

“This event is a great opportunity to have some fun and raise money for a great cause,” said John Maddux, 2017 gala co-chair. “Chesapeake Regional Medical Center has one of the busiest maternity wards in the region. Supporting the mother/baby unit will help make those first days, between parents and their newborn, even more special.”

“Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is important to us. The community helped to raise the funds to build the hospital more than 40 years ago, and it’s an honor to continue celebrating it and helping it grow,” said co-chair Joseph Barnes.

The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Gala has been a signature event for nearly two decades. It has helped to fund the purchase of innovative technology and several programs at the hospital. Funding has included the first da Vinci XI Surgical System in the region, the expansion of the Sidney M. Oman Cancer Treatment Center, and the renovation of the Emergency Department.

“The generous support of the Foundation and the community are valuable assets as we continuously work to provide high-quality care,” said Reese Jackson, president and CEO of CRH. “The proceeds from the Gala will make a huge difference in the patient experience for our families and their newborns.”

The Gala is a signature event in Chesapeake with dinner, dancing and music provided by the live band, A-Town A-List. Individual tickets are $250 and couples may purchase tickets for $400.
